Sustainability at Packaging Personified
At Packaging Personified, sustainability is more than a promise—it’s part of our process, our products, and our purpose. We recognize the challenges plastics pose when not handled responsibly, and we’ve made it our mission to deliver smarter packaging solutions that reduce environmental impact without compromising performance.
Our Process
We continually assess our operations to find meaningful ways to reduce waste, energy use, and emissions.
- Powered in part by solar arrays, reducing reliance on fossil fuels
- Closed-loop recycling system: in-house scrap is reclaimed and reused in our production
- Heat recovery systems capture equipment warmth to reduce winter heating energy
- Ongoing investments in energy-efficient equipment and smarter material handling
Our Product
We believe flexible packaging, when designed and managed responsibly, is one of the most sustainable solutions available. We're constantly innovating to make it even better:
- Source reduction: Advanced downgauging technologies reduce material use while maintaining strength and function
- Recyclability: 100% of our extruded films are certified recyclable
- PCR Integration: We’re qualified to incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) content across a range of products
- Shelf life extension: Our barrier films help preserve food freshness and reduce waste
- Design for recyclability: We continue to develop monolayer and recycle-ready structures that support a circular economy
Our Commitment
We take pride in the role we play in shaping a cleaner future—not just for our customers, but for the industry as a whole.
Our Sustainability Goals:
- Ensure that 100% of all internal material is either reused or responsibly recycled
- Recycle 100% of ink waste and repurpose it into other energy recovery streams
- Expand PCR use across all qualified applications
- Continue educating our employees, customers, and partners on sustainable packaging options
- Invest in the development of next-generation sustainable films and processes
